Meet the Doctor & Staff

Thank you for taking a moment of your time to learn more about our office. First allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Matt Thompson and I am a native of Greensboro, NC. Ever since I was a small child I have had a great love for athletics which led me to my first chiropractic experience. When I was playing baseball for college I experienced a horrible pain in my lower back. I hate to say this but like so many Americans, I turned to a medical doctor in hopes of managing my pain. After weeks of taking pain medication, anti-inflammatories, and muscle relaxers my back pain simply would not go away.

A friend had told me that they had an incredible experience with a chiropractor which had helped her neck pain. After hearing her story I felt that going to a chiropractor was the next logical step for me to take in hopes of correcting my back pain. Once I walked into the chiropractor's office I remember being a little bit hesitant, but once I got my first adjustment at that very instant my life was changed around. Not only have I not had back pain since I have been getting adjusted, but I also used to suffer from frequent headaches. Now, I hardly ever get headaches. I knew right then that I wanted to be a chiropractor.

After receiving my degree in Sports Medicine at Elon University, I went to Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC where I received my doctorate of chiropractic degree. Since I began practicing, I have taken many continuing educational classes which allows me to ensure that all of my patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care.

My main qualification (which cannot be expressed in words) is my passion for chiropractic. Everyday my staff and I are blessed to serve so many in our community. I firmly believe that the ability to live life at it's fullest is a gift and here at Rockingham Chiropractic Center we are ready to pass it on to you!

Hi, my name is Wendy Pollok. I am proudly Dr. Thompson's patient assistant and x-ray technician. I started my career with Rockingham Chiropractic Center in 2001. Chiropractic care was the key ingredient in changing my health and quality of life and am blessed to see it do the same for the hundreds of people that walk through our door everyday. I truly enjoy helping others reach their fullest health potential. Working at Rockingham Chiropractic Center is not just my job, it's my purpose!

I am married to Robert, the love of my life. We share two brilliant and delightful daughters (Bay and Megan). We live on a beautiful farm with our beloved chocolate lab, Cody. I could not be more fortunate. My interests include family, health and wellness, loving and laughing, natural healing, fitness, reading, music, photography, and nature.

My name is Erin Hodnett and I am the front desk receptionist. My face will be the first one that you see when you come into our office. I am originally from Mississippi. I moved to North Carolina when I was a child and went to Northwest Guilford High School and then went to GTCC for photography. A year ago I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to work for Rockingham Chiropractic Center and I love working for Dr. Thompson and the staff is amazing! I never thought that I would have a job that I enjoy so much and it brings me such pleasure taking care of our patients everyday.

I am married to my best friend, Joel. We have a beautiful baby named Murphy, and he is a Boston Terrier. We live in Reidsville and enjoy cooking, spending time with family, and going to church.

Hello, my name is Tracey Fulp and I found out about Rockingham Chiropractic Center through a friend and applied for a job. I am proud to say that I have been working here as the office manager since March of 1999. On top of being the office manager I am also in charge of insurance so for any insurance questions I will be the person you will be speaking to. Little at that time did I know how chiropractic would make such a huge impact on my life. Instead of finding a "job", I found a new way of life. There is so much more to chiropractic than just getting an adjustment. Chiropractic is a way of life, a healthy life, that is.

I am often asked if I get adjusted and I say, "yes, as often as possible!" I am actually stronger and healthier now than I was 10 years ago and my husband, Greg, gets adjusted at our office and has had tremendous results over the years! Before my husband began chiropractic care at Rockingham Chiropractic Center he used to get frequent migraine headaches, but now his migraines are gone!

Greg and I have been married for 20 years and although we do not have any children, we do have a Siamese cat named "Pooh".
Other than spending time with my husband and Pooh, my interests include exercising, reading, soap and candle crafting, natural health and wellness.
